春先の犀川の河川敷を歩き、風に揺れる葦原を描いた作品です。冬の名残を感じさせる枯れた葦の中に、わずかに漂う春の気配を感じました。写生の形をそのまま用いたところはわずかですが、葦の重なりや風の動き、静かな水辺に流れる穏やかな時間を手がかりに画面を構成しました。自然を見つめたときに感じた印象を大切にし、春先の空気と葦原の生命感を表現しています。

This work depicts a walk along the riverbank of the Sai River in early spring, with reeds swaying gently in the wind. Amid the withered reeds that still retain traces of winter, I sensed the faint presence of spring beginning to emerge.

Only a small part of the composition is based directly on what I observed through sketching. Instead, I constructed the image using the overlapping reeds, the movement of the wind, and the quiet passage of time along the tranquil waterside as my visual starting points.

I sought to preserve the impressions I felt while observing nature, expressing the atmosphere of early spring and the sense of life and vitality within the reed field.
